FAQs
Our home base is Jimboomba (QLD). We usually travel within the council areas of: Logan, Brisbane, Ipswich, Moreton Bay, Tweed Shire, Scenic Rim, Southern Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast. The Big Blue Bus has a less than ideal speed limit and high operational costs, so we usually only travel outside of these areas for major events.
We cater Weddings, Festivals, Concerts, Birthdays, Anniversary Parties, Church Gatherings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Office Parties, Picnics, Tastings, Meetings, or any Special Event!

Our minimum catering fees (excl. travel fees) are:
- Monday – Thursday: $850 incl. GST
- Friday – Sunday: $3,500 incl. GST
Our total price will consist of:
- Price per person;
- Operations fee (cost of prep & onsite staff);
- Travel fees (our location in Jimboomba to your location).
We can serve a maximum of 40 waffles per hour. So let’s say you have party of a 100 guests, we will need to attend your event approx. 3 hours.

We will contact you to discuss you requirements and will provide you with a quote. Upon accepting this quote, we will require a 50% deposit within 7 calendar days of your request to secure your booking.
Our calendar fills up quickly with events, sometimes 3 months ahead, especially for Fridays – Sundays. The sooner you book, the better chance of securing your date.
A 50% deposit of the total amount is required within 7 calendar days of your booking to secure your booking. The remaining 50% of the total amount is due 13 calendar days before the event date.
Please note that if we have not received your payment 7 calendar days before the event, we reserve the right to consider this as a cancellation on your behalf. The full amount will still be owed to us.
As we are committing time and resources to this event, cancellation would result in lost income and lost business opportunities in an amount difficult to precisely calculate. Therefore the following cancellation policy applies to all on-site catering orders:
30 calendar days or more prior to the event date: the full deposit will be refunded;
14-29 calendar days prior to the event date: the full deposit will be retained by us;
- 13-8 calendar days prior to the event date: 75% of full amount of the catering will be owed to us;
7 calendar days or less prior to the event: the full amount of the catering will be retained/owed to us.
In our electronic invoices you can find a link to make an online, secure payment directly. We accept cash, EFT, EFTPOS (cheques and savings), and credit cards (MasterCard, VISA, American Express, JCB). A surcharge applies to most EFTPOS & credit card payments. The fee for the FY 2018-2019 is set at 1.47%.
We require that our customers guarantee parking or location on the date of the event, with a minimum of 1 hour prior to the start time, and 1 hour after the booking ends. Our double-decker bus’ dimensions (when stationary) are: Height: 6.5m, Length: 10m, Width: 2.5m, and weighs 12,000kg. If you are unsure of the suitability of your location, we are happy to come over to have a look.
If we are unable to park on the location on the day of the event because the access is in any way restricted and may damage the bus, Crunchy’s reserves the right to cancel the catering service and will keep the catering payment in full.
